Re: Long distance sucks
If you can go to school in Ireland, it's certainly worth thinking about.
--- To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." - Theodore Roosevelt

Re: Long distance sucks
Aer Lingus? Nah, thats too expensive. I go for £25 + return flight from Ryanair! You can't get any cheaper than that. But then again those are the tax prices, it was actually 2p.
And I don't think I'll be able to do the course I want in Ireland, plus their education system is different there, it would be weird. But hey, never know.

That would explain the costume and make up, but, no, I'm not an actor, Musi.

There goes my most cherished illusion! Rimmer is NOT an actor! That's not possible.

Re: Long distance sucks
Aw, Firle, I can act for you. Let's do a scene from "The Horse Whisperer' together.

Re: Long distance sucks
You have nothing to worry about, Firle. My revised script ensures that everything is above board and suitable for a wide range of audience.
There are some minor changes to the book/film. The horse whisperer himself is now an Australian called Dazza. He wears khaki shirt and shorts and says "Crikey" a lot. The horse, Pilgrim, is a mare who is misunderstood; while she is of a kind and friendly nature, people are concerned about her need for steel-shod hooves.
Pilgrim has also been traumatised after a shocking rattlegun accident and nothing seems able to cure her, not even Black Forest cake. Enter Dazza the Australian horse whisperer; normal methods have failed before but, being Aussie, he knows a special way...
Filling Pilgrim's water bucket with Australian beer, he is then able to convince her they are celebrating Oktoberfest (or the Australian version, Okkertoberfest). After a few buckets, neither of them can remember what the problem was in the first place, nor do they care.
The only whispering comes when they are sneaking back into the stable after a midnight swim in the nearby dam.
In the final, moving scene, Dazza and Pilgrim visit England where they are both run down by a London Bus driven by a Turkish lady.
