Ireland...Kiss this
I'm flying to Ireland in September. I'm so excited! This is my second trip to the green isle. I went 4 years ago with my love interest and had a lot of fun we saw the sites, kissed the blarney stone and stayed in cute B&B's.
BUT this time I'm going with my best friend Kami, we've been BF's since 3rd grade (which was a long time ago). The best thing about our friendship is that we're totally opposites. She is wild and crazy and really lives life for the moment. Don't get me wrong I live life for the moment too, but I'm a little more subtle about it. I can already picture Kami and I driving our little rental car through Ireland when Kami suddenly demands I stop the car so she can go chase a rainbow, frolick in a field of wild flowers or go skinny dipping in a lake. (don't laugh she'll really do it, I know from experience). But that's why I love her and I can't wait to experience a whole new Ireland with her.
Has anyone else been to Ireland? Better yet do you have a friend like Kami? If so I'd love to hear your story.

Re: Ireland...Kiss this
UGH! The only B&B I can remember from my last trip is the Osprey in Killarney because of this really sweet couple who ran it. Kami and I have already reserved the High Tide B&B in Galway for our first night, it's next to the ocean and right in town so we can walk to the restaurants and pubs. 13 times WOW!! Do you have any good suggestions of places we should visit? We're doing the basics. The Cliffs, Dingle, Ring of Kerry, Cork, Rock of Cashel,Kilkenny, Wicklow Mtns and Dublin. But I'd love to know of any hidden treasures that are missed by most tourists.

Oh kool. I've only ever been to Dublin so I can't say much really, sorry. Sounds like you've been everywhere there.

Re: Ireland...Kiss this
The last time I was in Ireland I didn't spend a lot of time in Killarney . However, Kami and I have reserved two days for Killarney so we can do the Ring, Ross Castle and take a horse trek into Killarney park. Hope it doesn't rain.

Re: Ireland...Kiss this
You didn't kiss the Blarney!? Actually I don't blame you. It's kinda nasty looking (especially with the smudges, wet spots and lipstick marks)I probably wouldn't have either, but I was already hanging backwards and upside down with this old man holding my legs chanting "kiss it, kiss it" so I went ahead and gave it a smooch. I've recommended that Kami not do it but she wants the "Full" Ireland experience and the gift of gab (not that she's ever had a shortness of gab). So look out blarney here we come.
