I have never been a big Matrix fan. When I saw the first one, I got quite upset, since they stole most of their "ideas" from Blade (Watch Blade again if you do not belive me, it's quite shocking) : clothes, attitudes, fights ... As for the story itself, it is just a giant meltingpot of mythology, and sci-fi classics.
Only thing they realy had for them was the graphical quality of the movie itself, and sfx.

uh...i guess its because your not really a matrix fan from the beginning, and apparantly you are a blade fan, which i like also. Matrix invented the paticular 360 degree camera movement system. as for the clothes attitudes and fight, maybe they were going for the same mood/attitude of the characters. Personaly i dont think that the directors really needed to rip blade off because they seemed to have there own peticular vision which by just happens to be similar. Not mention other movies seem to pursue the image all the same. I see the fights in no competition in anyways being ripped off. again, they were going for there own vision. as for the story, what do you think blade was? lol. lots of movies do it today. I think it has very interesting concept, but i like concept movies. Also, im not firmilar with classics but i have heard its a very origanal/brillant way of bringing a couple of old movies' general concepts to the screen. Your coment about the story is kind of confusing and hits me as negitive. it strikes me that you dont like sci-fi movies. If you disliked the story and the general concept of it, i'd call you a minority.

From what i understand it is i guess a movie industry tradition thing. They used to dub old movies just because they didnt like the actors voices and maybe change in dialog or technicalities in the recordinging. i dont really know about that, But i do know they dub jacky chan movies that are in all english. because jacky's english isnt that good or for the comedy. Jackie Chan RULES. he happens to be one of my real only idols.

You're all against me emoticon

Seriously, his newer films really aren't dubbed. His English is quite good at this point, and he's actually talked about having to reshoot scenes when certain words have tripped him up.

As far as Matrix 4 goes, as long as it has Agent Smith, I'm happy.

 emoticon

I have a friend who looks just like him - his students actually bought him a pair of the sunglasses as a joke. And ironically enough his last name is Smith. The Matrix is real, I tell you, real! emoticon

Re: Matrix 4 ?

there is a game coming out called half-life 2. Its going to change the ways we immerse ourselves in an altered/false reality.

The beginning is beginning to begin. Agent smith was a agent program writen by the matrix which got out of hand in matrix2 (he no longer had the ear peace)so he wasnt apart of the matrix security system, he was a drifting program. Matrix 3 reveals that programs are basicly human. (no they wernt humans pluged in being used as a program)they could feel and care and even love like a human. SO ironicly, One of the agent smiths gets into the guy that was a trator. Got onto the ship that Neo and the other chick trinity took to go to the matrix mainframe. Another bit of irony is if it wasnt for agent smith blinding him on the way there and allowing him to see with his eyes close, they would not have succeded. Neos negotiation with the apparant matrix main controler/inventer, which materialized as a babies face(gerber) out of abunch of little flying metel things, was destroying Agent smith becuase he had been spreading throughout the matrix rendering alot of people un-wakeable and deadbatteries, WITH the power of the ultimate matrix thing.(he destroyed agentsmith, everylast one) The end of matrix3 shows the orical sitting with a little girl (which if i understand correctly, the little girl is either the next neo, or the next orical or someone important) because she says LOOK and its a pretty sunset and the orical says Did you do that?..yes,for neo. THEN the arcutect (a program, a main program/controler from inside.ect) walks up and asks the orical "how long do you think this socalled peace will last?" Orical says something then she asks something like "are they ALL being woken up? arcutect:yeah yeah Orical:do i haveyour trust? Arcutect:haha what do you think i am? Human?HAHAHwalks off,.. end
Like i said, they are leaving it wide open. And we all know thies 6 episode movies are all the rage now a days. Matrix is a sellout..no problem there, its a movie. movies sellout. there for- they SHOULD have about 60zillion dallors or somewhereabout that amount to make the next 3 then later on remake them....Star Wars style. Talk about capitalizing on a good thing... I know if i become any kind of director in the distant future, im sure to revalutionize movie making again...
AND i'VE heard otherwise, his english is good, but not good enough/to difficult FOR HIM to maintain quicknessness. Especualy when he does the korean directed moves, he is mixing english and whatever. I say just lets all go out and get some jackie chan dvds and watch EVERY SINGLE extra phootage we can find. Commentaries, behind the scences, commentaries on the behind the scences. Then we shall figure this dubing mystery out.

Re: Matrix 4 ?

interesting posts kenope !
just to make a little reply : I do like sci-fi movies a lot, and I do think that matrix (well the 1st "episode" at least)is probably among the best directed, and pictured movies. The graphics are just awsome, and the quality of the cgis are top notch.
What I do not like about it is that the wachowsky bros. ripped most of their "ideas" from other movies (but well, they did it very well). As for the 360 degrees camera rotation around a scene, it had been done before too.
Have you seen Equilibrium btw ? I personnaly did prefer it to matrix, and the fights (apart from the very first one, in the dark room), were all awsome.

Re: Matrix 4 ?

ok, maybe they did rip off the 360 deggree thing, But they did it very different inovative and expencive. Yeah the firstone is deffonitly the best. I LOVE the concept movie, i was the only one of all the people that i knew who saw it just once and understud the whole concept and detials of the moive. Fight club.. mmmm i love that moivie to. Movies thies days infulence psychological complexes in young minds, i think. As we get better and better at comunicating such deep and complex storys and new levels of immersion it will open new things in our mind. Understanding these concepts behind the moives just promotes much complex thinking.

there wont be a matrix 4 because they are too busy getting their azz sued for stealing that story.

for those that don't know the matrix was stolen from a comic book called "the invisibles" go check it out sometime.. not only did their steal the character designs..and story.. but they were dumnb enough to even steal the lines from the comic book.. may they go down in copywrite hell.

loved the movies though.. well the first one. hey if u want to know what else happens.. just pick up the comic book.

He's not filing a suit over it, so there could be a Matrix 4.
