Finding Nemo

I loved it. It was funny and cute and I loved the Aussie Sea Turtles. I think I laughed more than my kids.

*SPOILERS*

Methinks Dory made that movie what it was. The whale-speak, the constant forgetting of Nemo, and just her al-around Doryness was great. At the end, just that one final line she has: "Bye Elmo!" It just cracked me up for one final time. She was so hilarious. So, I leave you with this: Oooothankooooossss fooooooooooooooorrrrr listenooooooooingg toooooooo moooyy revioooooeeeeewww!

In my opinion it's one of Pixar's best. Whole lot better than the steaming pile of crap that was Sprit: Stallion of the Cimarron.

Re: Finding Nemo

Pixar:

Toy Story
A Bug's Life
Toy Story II
Monsters Inc

Ice Age is from Fox, their first animated feature, i think.

Stallion is from Dreamworks (antz, shrek)

Disney was very fortunate to partner with the company that can do no wrong, i.e. Pixar. Supposedly, there's some bad blood between the two studios. Pixar is looking for a distributer to replace Disney after their contract is over... 2 or 3 more films, I think.

Personally, I think the Toy Story films are the best American animated films ever made.

p.s. - iansgirl, sorry about the spelling correction. Reading it, i sound very snotty. did not mean it that way.

No worries When i went to put the name I thought it was Nemo but for some reason I thought it had to be more complex and had another E. Oh well. Yes Monster's Inc. Loved that also. This is deffinatly in the same class. I have 3 kids so these movies are usually the ones I get to see in the theaters. The rest we waite for DVD.

Re: Finding Nemo

My access to the internet is pretty spotty these days - just wanted to drop in and give my 2 cents about Finding Nemo

And well... it's the scariest, most disturbing rated G picture I have ever seen.

The movie freaked me out in the first ten minutes, and all throughout the rest, I was disturbed by the use of horror/slasher genre techniques: lots of darkness, menacing creatures sneaking up from behind, sudden vicious movements, fear of the unknown, dread of terrible things to come...

With the exception of the turtles and a few bits here and there, I did not enjoy Finding Nemo very much. I'm obviously in the minority and perhaps I will watch it again when it comes out on dvd.

I did like Knick Knack a lot though. The music was particularly good.

And I am looking forward to The Incredibles. Same director as the highly-overlooked The Iron Giant.
