[FIXED] "New post" bug

There is a bug with the new post button. It shows the new button in the forum where the new post was made, but it also shows the new button in the forums underneath the forum which has the new post.

Once a new post is made it not only shows the "new" post notification in that forum, it also shows it in the forums beneath it. I think it's not doing it anymore. I'll check again on it later.

I really need a way to reproduce a bug so I can correct it.

Re: "New post" bug

Hey Thor, same problem.

I'll be descriptive...

I have a forum category named NEWS (for admin announcements, etc)
I have several topics I have posted there (D, C, B, A )

Whenever I post a NEW TOPIC (which would be E) the "NEW POST" shows up in the column in for post D, not post E, the newest one.

Now, if you return to the main forum page, the "NEW POST" does show up in the column for the category NEWS indicating a new post has been made. When you click on NEWS to see the posts, though, it indicates D is new, not E.

Re: "New post" bug

Ok, your two's descriptions don't seem to be descripting the same issue to me.

Anyway.

For the first poster, can you confirm that the issue is when you post a new topic in a forum, and you see that ALL the forums in your board are suddenly flagged as having New posts in it? If yes, I will work tomorrow on correcting it.
If not, please rephrase and give precise instructions to reproduce the faulty behaviour.

The second poster - sorry, didn't understand. What seems super clear to you isn't to me, as I don't see your screen and don't know what exactly you did to get faulty output. Please rephrase and give instructions to reproduce.

On another note, I haven't been slacking lately, been programming the Private Messaging part, even though it will be just simply sending an email, for now. It's still something. Expecting it to go live in a couple days.

Oh and, for the first poster. There is indeed a bug. Your problem arises when there are forums with no topics other than the automaticly generated message in it. I'll fix it asap.

Re: "New post" bug

Sorry, we'll try again.

Whenever I or another board member post a new topic (click the POST NEW TOPIC link and message editor pops up, etc... hit SUBMIT REPLY), the feature (NEW) appears in the left hand column. However, it does not appear next to the topic we just wrote, but rather, appears to the left of the topic directly below the new one we just created.

In other words, the board is improperly indicating which topic is NEW.

Any clearer?

PS. Just after I submitted this post, the topic "I THINK I HAVE A PROBLEM" is indicating NEW. But the topic "NEW POST" BUG is not.
