Storm-clouds background?

I created this image while thinking about an alternative skin design for the Blue Skies theme.

Now, I am not the best when it comes to creating images, so I am asking for some help to make this image tile a bit better and to get a bit more "cloud definition" if that is possible.

Thanks in advance. emoticon

Re: Storm-clouds background?

Clay over in the Facebook Runboarders page suggested I use the original picture as a background and then overlay storm clouds on top of it using the GIMP editor.

I use PhotoFiltre for my image work, so Clay's suggestion did not apply to me in this project. It might be something others can use though which is why I mention it.

PhotoFiltre does have two different types of "fog" treatments for an image. I used one of them to create this picture, using my original background image as the base canvas. What do you think?
