Re: Adding Border?
I think I may have figured out a couple of things ... here goes:
http://bbuttonslightcyan.runboard.com/
http://bbuttonslightcyan.runboard.com/t1
To the left of each comment box, is the member info box. Here the border is a thin line, on PR's board it is thicker.
The border lines are also dashes, instead of one constant line. And the dividers between the heading/footing of each comment box, as well.
I think those are the borders she wants to make changes to, and needs to know where those settings/codes are located.

Thanks, Jox!
Autumn, is that what you want? To make your existing borders thicker?

You're welcome, again. Lesa and I are used to it. Back when we first met at Whoosh (ezBoards), I had to explain to her what the Oxygen-Xena refugee board members meant. They confused her all of the time. Brings back memories.

Re: Adding Border?
What is it about CSS that you find more difficult to understand than HTML?

I got some useful books, and found that CSS isn't as hard to do as I thought. However, I don't use CSS enough to remember what I've learned, and have to keep looking it up in the books whenever I need to use it.
Lesa has a website with lessons for anyone wanting to dip a toe into the "xHTML/CSS" waters. It's a good place to start.

Re:
What is it that I find difficult let me think ... oh -for one
Why the"exclamation point"(below)and how do you know when it's needed. "container "is a foreign word to me -what does that mean exactly?
div id="container"><!-- Look for this in the CSS to change background images -->
And "banbox". Exactly and "float". I don't get that at all. Part of it is I haven't taken a Knouff time to learn it in increments as I did With HTML
I'm in a hurry -I want to learn it All now ,lol,my broken back is not helping my concentration.
I'll check out that link .thanks!

Think of "container" as a box. You can use a "container" to limit how wide a board is.
My boards with a "container":
http://bthetwilightsaga.runboard.com/
http://bchelsierraremly.runboard.com/
http://bwhoosh.runboard.com/
There are several ways to create a container. One of which is the code I use on my 'Twilight' board. You would put this at the very top of the CSS box:
#container {
width: 80%;
margin: 0 0 0 203px; /* top right bottom left */
padding: 0;
}
You would put this at the very top of the HTML Header box:
<div id="container">
And then you would put this at the very bottom of the HTML Footer box:
</div><!-- end container -->
You can make changes to the "80%" & "203px".
This is my board without a container:

I plan on adding a container at some point. I think boards with a container look nicer.

... hmm ... I think "float" means the object moves up and down when you scroll up and down the page. Like the header/footer images on my 'Twilight' board. On some boards, the image stays in one place while the rest of the boards/forums/threads scroll up and down. Like the menu to the left on my 'Twilight' board.
I've never used a "banbox," but I'm guessing it means "banner box". You would put your banner code in that bit of coding.

I'm in a hurry -I want to learn it All now ,lol,
I completely understand. I flip through the books looking for what I want to do, when I want to do it ... coding on the fly. Then come here with questions when I can't dig myself out of my hole.

I'm so sorry about your back. I'm sure it is a huge distraction.
