However, that place in Change miscellaneous options is a bit inflexible.
I have this in my CSS and it sets maximum size rather than a fixed size that sometimes blurs the smaller avatars.

And by "posting area", are you referring to the screen where you compose your post, or something else?

ok.
Let's see if I can clarify. Not the area you 'compose 'a post but Afterwars-the final post.
There's usually a thin line, er,a border ( I should be saying), sometimes" dashes' as in PRs Button Skin.,which gives definition to and around avatars. 🙂See?
The skin on that board is the one you get after signing up which is very basic.
Hope that makes some sense 😻
