Re: New feature: Embed YouTube into posts This is an awesome new feature, but you may want to only post a few videos per page.. going to Morwen Oronor's link froze firefox for me.. I did re-enable my Flashblock firefox add-on.. It just shows a play button on the video, but doesn't let the flash load until you click on it.. Otherwise too many videos on a single page can really slow down, or freeze someones browser.. Cool concept thoough Morwen.
Re: New feature: Embed YouTube into posts Thank you for those comments, I like to add these tutorials for our members who have just started learning the basics. Looking at the tutorial here I think it could bamboozle them a little.
I try to think on their level when adding hints and tips.

While I try to write my instructions in a way that the only people who can understand them are those who don't need them.
But all joking aside, Wizard, which part(s) of my instructions did you find confusing, so that I may improve upon them when I make the video I mentioned earlier?
Re: New feature: Embed YouTube into posts To be honest LG, when I first looked at your written instructions, I too was a little confused. This is what really got me a little puzzled....

Depending on how you arrived at that page, it might also have some other stuff after the ID, like this:
When you click on link to YouTube you normally get the URL link in the right-hand side of the page anyway when you are viewing the clip (unless the owner has removed it)
Seeing these other links which I can relate to seem pointless to add. For instance, if you go my board and look in my YouTube section, you'll see a few entries. Just for example, go to Andrea the Newsreader laughing on air clip.
There you'll see my clip ready to play, click on the play icon in the window and it will start playing. Click on it again and it will open again in a new window on the actual YouTube site itself.
There you can copy the URL on the right, again, Yes you can see the whole URL in the browser window but why copy that one when there is a smaller one you can use.
If I'm missing something, I'd like to enlightened please.
