Re: I went to
Excellent coverage of what must have been the high point of your life so far.
Please post again if you see any other item of weather; rain, sleet, a stiff breeze...
We'll be waiting with baited breath.

Re: I went to
That wasn't necessary was it Weird Wizard?
I have friends in the far reaches of this world who have never seen snow, and yes....it would be a highlight!
As for Snorki....they were commenting on the fact that it was SUMMER and there was SNOW.

Re: I went to
What Queeny said. You and I are used to seeing snow – and lots of it – in the winter, but have you ever seen it here in July?
If you knew anything about Big Bear, you would know that it's in Southern California, which is known for being relatively warm year-round. It's amazing what a difference 7000' can make.

Re: I went to
Here in Texas we had snow once in August! This was wild for two reasons... 1. we only get snow once every two or three years on the average and 2. In August it is normally the height of our 100+ degree Fahrenheit season!

That's climate change for you, but it's still very odd.

Re: I went to
It would have melted by then. When I went to Indiana once at the beginning of the year there were snow all over and I was totally in awe of it all. Facinated. That time I never took my boy and promised him I would the next time. The next time we went was in July time, and of course there was no snow, but back home at that time it snowed like crazy so much so they had to close the schools as we don't get snow so no provisions are made for it. He had missed it again. The most snow he has ever seen is like a few flakes of them and they never settled.

Re: I went to
I should move to some place where there is little or no snow so I can start enjoying it again like I did as a child.
