Do People Read These?
If you are reading this, please answer -- only if you want to. :)
"Board" is short for "message board".
I seem too busy posting, being admin of one board, owner of other boards, a very active member at a private board, and gaming... To do much blogging, but maybe I should... I wonder. Maybe someone would like to give me some perspective on the usefulness of blogging, or the pros and cons of it...
I blogged more than a year ago?
This just doesn't seem right. I thought I posted to this this year! :)
Oh well, I have been involved in a lot of projects this year. Maybe I will mention them in another entry in the near future.
Blog Entries Disappeared -- AND Weight Loss
Now I am sure that I posted at least one or two blogs this year, but the latest showing is in 2009! I also thought I blogged about my weight loss!
Anyway, I have lost about 30 pounds in two and one-half months. I still need to lose about 27 more pounds. I am a 5' 7" tall male and weighed 227 pounds when I decided I MUST lose weight.
How did I do it? I mostly eat what I want, but try to eat less and make decisions to eat a little more healthily. I eat small snacks between meals to keep my metabolism going. Also, in the last 3 to 4 weeks, I have added some serious walking -- anywhere from 1 to 5 extra miles of walking per day, probably an average of 2 to 3 per day. But, most of the weight loss was just from more careful eating.
I also plan to purchase a good bicycle to add some variety to my exercise, but walking is supposed to be one of the best.
I have noticed a big difference already in how I feel and others are noticing a difference in my appearance. I used to breath hard when working hard and/or working in a freezer (at 10 below Zero!). Now, I breath more normally.
Too Much to Do!
Here I am again wishing that I had 72 hours a day to do everything. It would be nice if sleeping and eating were not needed as well. I have just way too many projects. I never run out of things to do. If my Warhammer Quest gaming is a bit slow due to others not being able to play, then I can play my solo games. :) If I were to momentarily finish updating my website (a job that is never done!), then I can always work on some of my unfinished custom Warriors and/or custom monsters (for Warhammer Quest). If I get weary of any of these things, I can always get back to trying to learn Python and then Dejango, so that hopefully, I can start developing some computer games...
Oh yeah, then there's that best-selling novel I am trying to write. lol
No, I never really get bored at all. I just never run out of things to do.
I started a wiki page for Warhammer Quest. I am using a nifty single-page document called TiddlyWiki. Visit TiddlyWiki.com to get a copy and instructions on how to use it. In my opinion, it is a really handy tool for all sorts of things. I have begun to use it as a planner for organizing my thoughts to write a novel.
The Warhammer Quest wiki I am calling Warhammer-Quest-A-Pedia, because I intend to use it as a quick reference to help remind some players of rules, interpretations and etc... Also, I plan to use it as a place to share my commentary on various aspects of the game. For instance, I have two sections on game strategy so far: Combat Strategies and Healing Strategies.
It is a work in progress. Also, it is fairly easy to save a copy to your pc. Just use the Save As
option from your browser menu.
Here is the Warhammer-Quest-A-Pedia location (hosted at my Old Warrior's Stronghold site): Warhammer-Quest-A-Pedia
