redirecting from your website
For those of you with a website, you can redirect people to your forum...
when I give people my forum address I give them www.spouzic.com/forums.htm
on that page the only thing I have is a meta tag in my header and a message that says 'taking you to spouzic forums.' The meta tag looks like this:
<META HTTP-EQUIV="refresh" CONTENT="3 ; URL=http://com1.akheva.com/bspouzicforumforsportsmusicmore">
Where content is the number of seconds after the page has loaded that you would like the redirect to happen.
I thought this could help some people.

Re: redirecting from your website
allthough your way works fine, there is another way, so i thought i'd put it out there.
if you really wanted you could use a piece of javascript.
<script language="JavaScript1.2">setTimeout("window.location='http://com1.akheva.com/me'", 30000); </script>
30000; I think that'd last for 30 seconds 30000 so lets say you wanted it to redirect in 1 it'd be 1000. and on that page you could have a "redirecting you to forums now thing" which looks kinda neat.
just add the script somewhere in your html document. I hope it works i just wrote it now off the top of my head... i'm not promising anything

Re: redirecting from your website
hmm those are both cool idea's, all I did was make a button.gif and add a href to it directly to the board.

Re: redirecting from your website
Well, yes anyone could do that...
Our point is so it can seem as though the forum is on your site and so its so much more rememberable (is that a word)
as in instead of
www.com1.akheva.com/bthebigcheesecompanyforum
or
www.tbcc.com/forum
which seems better, i'd say the latter.
