I have a perception disorder with numbers - invert them, flip them around, etc. The last thing I need is a system that takes what I CAN read and turns it into something I can't! Curse the 8-bit DOS system - may it stay prehistoric! emoticon

Hahahaha... You didn't get it, did you? Phehistoric DOS was 8 bit (ie. eight 0's and/or 1's). Windows took that to 16bit at first, then to 32 bit nowadays!!! How's THAT for easier? Uh?

No, I didn't get it I'm still confused. Are you saying Windows is based on the same concept, but with 32 digits instead of 8?

Bear in mind that as far I'm concerned, the only thing powering computers is magic and pixie dust. I figure out how to do things on a need-to-know basis.

Yes, that's what I meant. As I told you before, 0's and 1's is the ONLY language PCs can "understand" and it'll stay that way for the decades to come, I guess.

Nevertheless YOU (the end user) have NOTHING to worry about as far as binary is concerned. It's all taken care of by the OS (Operating System) and BIOS (Basic Input Output System) in real time w/out you even noticing...

So relax and enjoy your dealing with PCs from an end user's perspective...

Yeah but if you exceed your download limit, they take your favourite pig away from you.

Do the people from other countries in general know the states of America? I don't even know the provinces of Canada.
