posticon My board fails to display lately - help!

Hi, I'm new, and quite recently set up a [free] Runboard message board. I got it set up fine, but the past two weeks, when I'd try clicking on the link to the board, it fails to display.

I'm panicking, because of my painstaking effort at setting up the initial stickie posts. I hope Runboard's staff keeps backups?

Thus far, only I have posted, the board has basically been inactive. Reason: While I've submitted my site to various search engines, it hasn't yet been indexed by them, apparently that takes awhile. But meanwhile, I wanted to have the board set up & ready to go. I hope my board wasn't deleted for some reason?

Could you post the link to it, please?

It always helps to include a link to your board.

I'm assuming this is it: http://com3.runboard.com/bcomputermonitorpain

If I click the link, your board comes up straight away. Perhaps the link you are using is corrupted or you have an issue with your PC/PC setup.

Have you changed your setup (eg. browser, operating system. ISP etc lately)?

Rimmer, yes your link is the correct one and exactly matches the one on my site. But when I click on the above link, the board fails to display. Since the last time I viewed my board, I haven't changed anything, neither browser, OS or ISP. I can't imagine why this is happening, especially since it displayed OK approx. 2 weeks ago. Furthermore, I have another remote-hosted board attached to another of my sites, and haven't ever experienced this issue with that board. In fact, I clicked that board just now, & it displays OK.

This is really weird, considering that it displays for you, but not for me.

P.S. I only created the site & board out of desperation, because there seems to be a vacuum of info on this topic, but I wish someone else could have set up & run it. However, judging by some of the testimonials I read in one of the links attached to my site (http://www.freewebs.com/eclectives/monitorpain.htm) I suspect that soon this may become an issue for many people, as more and more people purchase bright LCDs.

That is strange - you don't have the problem with other boards (like this one or those links at the top of this page)?

Actually, I have the same problem with the one at the top of this page, but no problem with this support board, nor with displaying other members' boards, such as this one:
http://com2.runboard.com/bwazzleacademyofmagic

Might that provide a clue? I'm also curious if other members have problems displaying btheadvert (i.e. the link at the top of this page).

Hey! I just realized the common denominators are Com3. I don't seem to have problems with Com1 & Com2. Also note that this problem only cropped up the last 2 weeks or so. Before that, Com3 was fine.

P.S. I'm editing this post to add this link, which perhaps might explain it? A pirate flooding Com3:
http://com1.runboard.com/bakheva.fmainchat.t727
Can someone please interpret this into non-geekese, pretty please? I.E. why is it that the flooding can't be stopped; if it's truly unstoppable, then why has my other remote board been working fine for more than a year? See, the latter is also a free hosted board, so I'd imagine that same $%#@ pirate might have tried to get at them too?

But, if the issue was the flooding of com3, then I think it would affect everyone, not just you.

Here are a few com3 boards picked at random. Can you access them?
