Banning a member


I have this person on my board who’s always posting inappropriate things. I banned him for a couple of times now (each of his account’s) but that doesn’t help because he keeps on making new ones.
Is there a way how I can ban my permanently?

I assume you've banned only on username. Try banning the two first numbers of his IP.

Most users have two different types of IP, though.
Like:
IP: 1.2.255.255
IP: 2.2.255.255
As you can see, they have two 'modes' to their first two numbers. Ban both types, and he's gone. emoticon

I'm afraid I'm not such a bright light in all this. I haven't tried IP banning yet but how do I know his/her IP address.

If you're an admin, when you look at someone's post, they're IP is under they're name, looks like this:

Registered: 10-2003
Location: Historic Over There
