Scrollbar on emoticon box?

I wonder if it's possible to put a scrollbar on the emoticon box so more images can show there without making the post pages so long? Here is the script used on my other board.. name will stay unmentioned. emoticon

<*style type="text/css">
#emoticonbox {*height: 206px; overflow: auto;}
</style*>

Remove the *'s and that's what they used. It may be copyrighted, but I don't know how to make it work anyhow on this board. I think there also needs to be a link to the rest of the emoticons that aren't showing.

Thanks for reading and TIA for your helpful ideas.

Mysti

At the moment, I can't see a CSS class for the clickable smilies (that'w why it won't work). However, I know that Thor is introducing more CSS classes. This one may appear soon, and once it does, that should work.

.msgform_clickable_smiley_box_h { font-family: verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-weight: bold; }
.msgform_clickable_smiley_box_b { border-width: 1px 1px 1px 1px;}
.msgform_clickable_smiley_box_b_td { }

_h is the whole table
_b is the per smiley tables
_b_td is the per smiley tables' td's.

Another question?

How do I add this to the CSS without messing something up? I don't know CSS yet, and I don't quite understand it. I don't even know what this means: "Prepend the default CSS: No Yes" I don't want to end up deleting the board or something equally as dumb. LOL

Leave "Prepend default CSS" to on,

then add the modified classes to your custom CSS. They will override the default CSS classes.

Re: Scrollbar on emoticon box?

I did as you instructed, but it's not working for me. I've probably done something wrong, knowing my level of incompetence with things though.

I've tried a number of things, such as unticking the clickable grid, etc. and still nothing. I've even rebooted in case it's my computer having a bad day.

Thought maybe I needed more smilies inserted to make it work, so I've added more, but still no luck.

Mysti

PS.. was just thinking. Maybe I need to change this code to say smilie box, or whatever your wording is in the code.

<*style type="text/css">
#emoticonbox {*height: 206px; overflow: auto;}
</style*>

Thanks. I saw you there and realized I needed to get out of the control panel since I was probably making things more confusing.

I appreciate everything. Perhaps in time there will be a way to impliment that feature.

Thor ROCKS!

Thanks,

Mysti
