What is not functioning that I get a "runtime error"?

One of my members wrote this to me and since I'm not good with this, can anyone gave me and idea what to do?? ( he writes this message);The reason I think I'm having problems is I'm setup for programing and anytime I run across bad code my machine wants to debug the problem. I'm getting an error message on every refresh (again my computer is set to look for new pages every visit), "A runtime error has occured. Do you wish to debug? Line: 146 Error: Expected ')' - that's the best I can duplicate in this font. Here is the bad code, document.write('<A HREF="aim:addbuddy?screenname=FIDEL'S">Add Buddy</A>');
} or as it looks in html, ('Add Buddy'); } and on the board it may come out the same but you have a } floating on it's own, I believe, and that's the problem.

Thanks for any info;

The only query I would have is with the name FIDEL'S. The ' in FIDEL'S may be affecting the script's running.

But I'm no expert on this.

yeah Id guess that its that too. Does your screen name really have an apostrophe in? I dont think ive ever seen that.

Yup. Exactly right.

Are you using one of Kripts scripts?

yes--yes--and yes---you guys hit it right on the nose!!
I removed it after I had took a guess on what you had mention, and it all worked out to be good...Was there a problem with the script that I used from Kripts script, or did I just mistype it??

Thank you very much

No, I don't believe there is a problem with the script. It's just the apostrophe (') as Rimmer says causeing the problem.
