Problem with adding a Java Chat.

I have just added a chatroom to my board, and the problem I have come across is, when the link to chat is clicked I am taken away from my board, therefore, unable to chat and post and browse at the same time. Does anyone know of a chat that opens in a new window and allows both chatting and posting simultaneously.

Cheers

Re: Problem with adding a Java Chat.

In case anyone is interested, for our chat link, we added code like this in the HTML header area (Control Panel/Board Management/Edit layout/Manage HTML content):

<a href="http://our_chat_address.com/" TARGET="_blank"><b><font color="#333344" face="TimesRoman"><span style="font-size:14"> Our Chat Room</span></font></b></a>

That put a link ("Our Chat Room" ) to the chatroom host at the top of each page in our forum and opened a new window when clicked.

So Rimmer, you're saying that if I put all that HTML code into the custom header thingie, I'll have a Java chatroom on my board that opens in a new window? I know I have to make my own Java chat and then put the url in, but your saying that if I put all that HTML code into the thingie, with my Java Chat url, it'll have a link to it? I love you.

I used http://www.everywherechat.com
You would need a website to put the javascript code that they give you somewhere. and then you can link to it from your board.

We use http://www.sigmachat.com/ . It was pretty easy to set up and didn't need a third party host.
