Customizing fonts
We are new to the boards having came from another board and there were 2 features that we would like to ask if they could be implimented .
#1 When making posts many members would use a specific font for their posts. This was a selectable item though limited in choice.
I have noticed that unless the board administrator wishs so no one can post in anything but the board font. :: mutters:: unless that is what the code buttons are for
#2 Premium members be able to link several post names to same account so that they would be able to switch post names and not have to log out and back in .
Otherwise the ones I have talked to seem happy with our choice of Runboards.

You can play CSS games to make a few fonts available. For example: u { text-decoration: none; font-family: "Comic Sans MS", Comic, fantasy }
u u { font-family; "Times Roman", "Times New Roman", "Times", serif }
u u u { font-family: "Courier New", Courier, "Lucida Console", monospace } Posters will then get different fonts depending on how many sets of … they use around their text.

Re: Customizing fonts
I want to add a Final Frontier Font(True Type) to My Forum.
Do I need to adjust all of the settings in the:-
/* SETTINGS FONT TYPE, COLOR AND SIZE TO REMAINING ELEMENTS */
Area or Do I just add it to a specific Place i.e.- span.locationboard , span.locationforum, span.locationtopic {font-size:13px;font-family:verdana}
And Will I need to upload my font to Photobucket or can I link it directly to my pc?
Since I have necer changed the font before the information would be really useful
Thanks In Advance Rob

Re: Customizing fonts
The trick with the fonts used on the Final Frontier Board is that those words are basically images, I believe Alpha used CSS tricks in order to make that work. (Unless you weren't talking about that.)
Just remember that if you set a font via the CSS people need to have it on their computers in order to see it.

Re: Customizing fonts
Thanks for the Information.
I decided to change the Font to Mekanik LET Plain, True Type since I am certain everyone has got that.(At least I hope they have)
If they haven't I'll try something else.
The Final Frontier Font (True Type) is available to Download here for FREE:-
http://grsites.com/fonts/f005.shtml
In fact Everything on this site can be used for FREE.
This Includes Buttons, Backgrounds And Banners.
To See an Alphabet of Fonts just click Fonts at Top of the page when it loads.
You can have them emailed to you and then you just save them to fonts.
Just in case anyone wanted to try anything new like a Font or Buttons for Their Runboard Forums.

No, most people wont have heard of it, never mind have it.
As far as using fonts go, the ONLY fonts which are found on MOST peoples PCs are
Verdana,tahoma,arial,times new roman, helvetica, san serif, Georgia
These should be OK in Windows and MAC. (since most people have the fonts which come with the operating system and not browsers)
If you are using css you can type multiple fonts so if one isnt installed it will select the new one.
