I do know of one board provider (probably not the one you're thinking, Queeny emoticon) that is actually far too strict, and will delete boards without warning for any little TOS violation... including their ridiculous rule against posting in a language other than English. We prefer to work with the board owner and allow them to clean up violations when we see them, unless it's a major one such as scams or child porn. In those two cases, trust me, you do not want to be the owner of one of those boards. emoticon

*giggles* most definitely NOT the one I'm thinking [sign in to see URL], I have been on one that was very, very strict! emoticon

My board contained shared stories are customers ripped off by a local business. I do not understand why it was taken down. I just want to be able to get the 2.5 years worth of stories that were posted there. Is this possible? I sent a message to Thor but received no response.

Hello NateBradley.
Your board was suspended, not taken down or deleted.
This will be dealt with by a Global Admin. Please wait until one becomes available. Thanks. emoticon

Thank you. Is there anything I can do to speed up the process or help get my board back up and running?

Nate,

As the reason states:

quote:

This board is suspended.

Reason: This is not the place to air disputes. If what you are saying is true, then take it up in court.

I will look into this further.

I am not suggesting for one minute that my board would have anything racist or discriminatory on it - in fact I am very clear in my rules that everyone should be treated equally whether a board member or a celebrity - but I do have a debate forum which does discuss these subjects on occasion. I also make sure that people do not overstep the mark and stay polite.

Is this acceptable considering that is a debate rather than a post that is clearly racist or discriminatory?

It is acceptable, in the way you specified it.
