Re:
I am sorry, Autumn! I misunderstood. To do the welcome on the first page, use this CSS above your header picture:
#welcome { height: 72px; background: url(http://xxxxxxxxxx.gif) no-repeat center; }
Then above each forum picture put this:
#ak_forum_2 #welcome { display: none; }
You need that above each forum picture so you will need to change the forum number as it is appropriate to each forum.

Re:
Well, upon reading your first post here, it actually was pretty clear.
I hope those codes help. If not, Lesa can fix anything.

Re:
OK, it is all fixed on The Front Porch. Actually, those codes need to go below the headers. I was looking at Snowy's other Welcome when I said above.
For some reason, I couldn't get your Welcome picture to post, so I re-saved it to my photo place and used my picture of it. You may want to replace it with your own, but don't lose my code in case it doesn't show.

Re:
PS: I also changed the height of your first forum's picture to the correct height of the picture. It got rid of a bunch of blank space.

Re: Adding script under banner?
Susa usually goes to bed at 10pm ET. I see PR listed as away on chat. I already logged out of Facebook, so I don't recall who might still be online.
I took a look at the page source, and I didn't see any code listed for the main header images. When you do get it set up like you want ... create a forum where you can create threads where you can copy/paste the CSS/HTML codes in them for safe keeping.

Re: Adding script under banner?
Autumn, did you get Happy Trails sorted out? If not, what are you trying to do?
Also, the picture you're using in your header for forum 1 is 414px tall, but your CSS is cutting it off at the top and bottom because you have the height set to 300px.
Jox, there is no such thing as float: center; in CSS. You can only float to the left or the right.
