Susa, I can guarantee you I'm on the same page as you when I look at the control panel. It's identical to the screenshot you have posted here, except for the absence of the Premium button.

I haven't said this well enough: thank you so very much for continuing to assist me, and for doing so with such good grace and humor. I really appreciate your efforts and your willingness to continue them.

Re:

Your are most welcome.

I did find out, since we last wrote, that because you are on the first 30 days that you will not see a referral link on your board. Here is the exact message I got when I asked about this:

quote:

There's a link on non-premium boards that only non-premium members can see. This link is only for referral credits that go to the board. After that, they still have to go to their control panel to actually purchase the user credit. The link won't show on a new board, because new boards get free premium.

So, on the board I made tonight, I will see that referral link in 30 days, from my non-premium account. Believe me! I am going to make a screenshot of it, so that I have a copy of what it looks like. In the past, I have always bought premium credits before I needed them and I have always been a premium member.

You should still see that link to buy credits, though. That is a mystery to me, but Lesigner Girl is going to come to this thread when she gets off of work tonight, to see what she can figure out. She will see something that I don't.

Oh, good, my vague memory regarding the first 30 days wasn't totally bananas.

I'll look forward to whatever else Lesigner Girl can tell me about this.

Again, my thanks to you for sticking with me on this.

Hi, Robbie!

I'm the one Susa was quoting above, and you can disregard that quote. I apologize, but I was rushing through things during my last 10 minutes of a break at work and misread what she said, even though there was nothing ambiguous about her wording. I had my mind on referral credits that a board can earn through a user upgrade, not buying board premium credits outright like you're wanting to do.

I also see the upgrade button in your control panel, where it shows in Susa's screenshot.

Just now, I went and made a brand new board and viewed it on Firefox. I also made a non-premium version of myself as the Adnministrator, who viewed it on Firefox and here is the screenshot:

I didn't create a new user account, but did create a new board with a non-premium account and was able to see the "Purchase premium credit" button. I might have gone that extra step of creating a new user account, but Susa had already done that.

I know you already told Susa that the bottom button showing in your board's control panel says "Resign from management," and I apologize for asking you to confirm it again, but below is a screen shot that includes the blue bar below the button, just to make absolutely certain. If you're not seeing this blue bar in your board's control panel, you're either not scrolling down far enough, or there's a technical glitch that prevents the page from loading completely. Are you seeing this blue bar with the copyright notice at the bottom of the page?

Good morning, Lesigner Girl! Thank you for your help.

Yes, I am confirming again that the "Purchase premium credits" button is not visible to me. Below the "Resign from management" button is the blue bar you're showing below the "Purchase premium credits" button.

I've tried it from Firefox, Chrome, and IE, and it's the same on all three.

No sweat, Lesigner Girl. There's no terrible rush, and I seem to be coming down with some kind of bug so I may not be around all that much.

Yikes! emoticon I hope you don't get too sick, and whatever you have doesn't last long. emoticon

As a test, I created a new user account, turned ownership of your board over to that new account, and used that account to look at your board's control panel. Of course, I put the board back in your 'Miz Robbie' name immediately after checking this and grabbing a screen shot of what I saw.

My idea was, if I was able to see the button with this new account, I could turn the account over to you, and you could use it to purchase credits for your board.

Unfortunately, I saw exactly as you described. emoticon

I would still be happy to turn the new account over to you, and you could use it as a test account. I named it after you, and will just let it float into cyberspace if you don't want it.

Would you like me to change the new account's email to the one I have on file for you? If I do, you should receive an email with a link to click on to confirm the email change, and then you can do a password retrieval from there.

I will contact Thor about this issue, and see if he has a solution. He is Runboard's owner and creator.

Let me make sure I'm following you.

First, thank you for verifying what I've been reporting. It's a relief to have it acknowledged.

Second, if I accept the new account, does that mean I would have to move all the threads to a new place? Or does it mean I would simply see a new control panel?

Third, might I be smarter to wait for Thor?

You can use the second account to test to see if your setup is working the way you think it is. You can switch it from member, to Mod, to Global Mod, to Admin, and see what your Mods/Global Mods/Admins can and cannot do. You can also remove it from the board/forum membership to test what lurkers can/cannot see/do.
