By the way the system already has the polls set up, I think that just to incorporate a text area for the question just above the poll options when creating the poll which will then show above the poll choices and poll results when the the post has been saved would be the most simplest. In the body of the post it wouldn't matter if the poster simply repeated the question or added their own thoughts on the subject when creating the post. The layout would then still be exactly as it is now with the poll at the top and all discussion coming after it.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Zandranna)Wed, 31 Aug 2016 08:14:59 +0000 Re: Pollshttps://bakheva.runboard.com/p293358,from=rss#post293358https://bakheva.runboard.com/p293358,from=rss#post293358That's why you're Thor's second-hand gal and I'm not. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Joxcenia)Wed, 31 Aug 2016 06:31:39 +0000 Re: Pollshttps://bakheva.runboard.com/p293357,from=rss#post293357https://bakheva.runboard.com/p293357,from=rss#post293357Or just have a textarea above the poll options and a textarea below, and whatever is filled in shows up.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Lesigner Girl)Wed, 31 Aug 2016 04:47:22 +0000 Re: Pollshttps://bakheva.runboard.com/p293355,from=rss#post293355https://bakheva.runboard.com/p293355,from=rss#post293355hmm ... perhaps an option would work? [x] Quick Poll -or- Poll Above Post [_] Lengthy Poll -or- Poll Below Post Or a better wordage than I have used as an example. *** Or just a subject/title box for the main question only? *** Do You Want A Subject/Question Box? [x] Yes [_] No nondisclosed_email@example.com (Joxcenia)Wed, 31 Aug 2016 02:37:35 +0000 Re: Pollshttps://bakheva.runboard.com/p293351,from=rss#post293351https://bakheva.runboard.com/p293351,from=rss#post293351The current way makes sense for the polls in this forum, because the long post would push the poll down "below the fold" otherwise. However, for a one- or two-sentence question, it would nice to have the option of putting a question above the poll.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Lesigner Girl)Tue, 30 Aug 2016 20:33:20 +0000 Re:https://bakheva.runboard.com/p293349,from=rss#post293349https://bakheva.runboard.com/p293349,from=rss#post293349I can see I didn't think this through properly. I suppose I was thinking more along the lines of there being space at the top of the poll table for the actual poll question. With the first post giving the space to elaborate or the poll poster to give their opinion on it. I"m not sure what I really expected to tell the truth. It just hit me that one did have to scroll down to read the question and then scroll up again to answer the poll which I found a bit clumsy to do if you know what I mean and I posted without putting a lot of thought into it.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Zandranna)Tue, 30 Aug 2016 16:49:50 +0000 Re: Pollshttps://bakheva.runboard.com/p293346,from=rss#post293346https://bakheva.runboard.com/p293346,from=rss#post293346I can see that for some situations, I can also see where having the poll actually being inside the first post would be the best place. It all depends on what the nature of the poll is all about and what happens when (and after) the poll is closed.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Pastor Rick)Tue, 30 Aug 2016 14:09:27 +0000 Pollshttps://bakheva.runboard.com/p293344,from=rss#post293344https://bakheva.runboard.com/p293344,from=rss#post293344I wasn't sure where to put this as it's not a feature request but more a suggestion. With the polls the question is in the body of the topic and not within the poll table itself so I find it illogical to have the poll table above the topic. I would have thought that one would read the question and then scroll "down" to the poll table rather than back up to it after reading the question. Does anyone else think this might be more logical? nondisclosed_email@example.com (Zandranna)Tue, 30 Aug 2016 13:42:26 +0000
