Poll: View Voter Button/Link

I didn't see this one on the list, but it would be nice if the usernames of all who voted in a poll were listed in a popup box.

[View Voters] - [Close Voting]

Not sure if it would help to figure out if one member is voting with multiple accounts though. It might ... if the board owner is aware of who has multiple accounts, and the usernames on those accounts.

If we did this, we should still allow an option for anonymous voting.

I agree about the anonymous voting. I would probably not vote most of the time if people could watch me. Being anonymous is part of the fun of voting. I quit commenting in polls because it caused hard feelings. I don't want people to know that I voted.

Re: Poll: View Voter Button/Link

Hmm on the kind of things I vote on at, say, Keshiheads, we name our votes usually but that is not important stuff to vote on so on more serious topical boards I can see how people would want to be anonymous.

The way I think about this is that if people want people to know what they voted for, they can post it, but if not, they can be anonymous emoticon

Part of the reason I like Runboard is for being so simple so I think that could clog it up.

But don't get me wrong I understand the ups it could have on some boards emoticon

Well, I meant that only Admins could view who voted, and only when they clicked on the link ... but not 'how' they voted. That should remain private.

This is how I see it, too. If someone doesn't mind people knowing how they voted, they can post a reply to say how they voted.

If, however, someone wants to be anonymous but thinks they won't be, they won't vote.

Thirded, forthed or fifthed.

As admin, I'd like who voted, but how they voted should remain their secret.

(If I ever restart the flash fiction contest on my writing board, it would be neat.)

I heartily agree...

Yet, a downside I see so far could be found in the case of more serious voting topics: the temptation for an admin to sway the vote by contacting those who have not voted yet whom they think might vote a certain way. Even IF the admin would never give in to such a temptation, people could make the accusation IF they know the possibility is there.
