Re: Poll Thread Admin Rights My vote would be for a minimum of Board owners PLUS other Board admins... After all, if a Board Admin can be trusted with a Boards coding it makes no sense to deny that trust on Board polls...
I am also surprised that I seem to be the first one discovering this gap, but in all my previous dealing with Poll threads they have been my own, so that could be the reason I never missed seeing the "close vote" option until I decided to close the poll created by another user without deleting and/or closing the thread.
Am glad we identified the gap or bug, as I see it being an important feature for board owners and board admins alike (like Rick suggested).
Re: Poll Thread Admin Rights You're welcome, Jalal.
I don't remember anyone setting up polls at my board before I became a global admin, so I'm not surprised I never noticed it. I wonder if most board admins just never thought about it because they never attempted to close a non-admin's poll without closing a thread until now.
I think mods should have this ability, too, but maybe it should follow the same rule about mods affecting admin posts, according to what is set in the miscellaneous options. If it's set so mods can't affect admin posts, then they wouldn't be able to close an admin's poll without closing the topic.
