Re: About that Widget...

Aww, thanks, Clabby! emoticon I like you, too. emoticon

I've noticed a delay with the widget at times, and hope Thor can figure out a way to prevent it. I'm glad you like the widget, and hope others will start using it, too. emoticon

Yes, you can have widgets for two different boards on the same web page. If you're using the exact same styling on both, you won't need to do anything extra to the CSS. However, if you use an image for each like I put on that practice page, you will need to target each board's ID instead of the skin's class name for the one part you want to be different.

The section about the board's ID is immediately after the section about skin class names that I linked to here.

As for the whole liking posts thing, do you know how many times I have wanted to 'like' a post? emoticon I would actually like to have that feature here myself, just as we have it on status messages and blog posts in profiles. emoticon

Thanks, Lesa. I've added the widget to my website. I like it. I actually had to add it to each 'skin'. That's efiction. So I didn't mess about with it too much cause I didn't want to restyle it for each skin.

You're welcome, Clabby. emoticon

It looks good on the default skin just the way it is. emoticon I didn't see a way to view the other skins, so I'm guessing an account would be needed for that?

If efiction works anything like mediawiki, you might be able to style it for one skin without it affecting the others, but I can't be sure because I'm not familiar with efiction.

But as I said, it looks good on the default skin just the way it is. emoticon

There's a change skin option below the 'Other Links' option on the main skin. I have to change those .tpl files for different formats, that's where the html is really and then the CSS is separate for each skin. I don't know why they did it that way, but I asked, and they have no intention of changing it. It's a pain when making this type of change, but it is what it is and it works well for fanfiction sites.

Re: About that Widget...

I thought I remembered seeing a way to switch skins way back when, but I couldn't remember where it was and couldn't find it again. I saw the widget on all the skins now, and it looks good. emoticon
