Hi Jewel!

Someone will be along very soon who knows exactly what to do. I just didn't want you to wait alone.

Re: Who's Online "font size and color"

Hi Jewel,

Your best option is to use the boards CSS when it comes to changing that part of a boards design. You go to:

Control Panel :: Board management :: Edit colors and theme :: CSS management

And add something like this to your CSS code:

.forumlistwhosonline {
color: #000000;
font-size: 14px;
}

You gain the ability to adjust both the color and font size for that part of your boards design. emoticon

The part in red is the text color for the field (not the color that users are displayed in).

There is a nice color chart showing the most common color codes ]here if you don't "think in hexcode colors" that you may find useful...
The part in blue is the size of the font (the default is 10px).

Sorry, but it didn't work Rick. I remember when I read that thread, that Erika had said something about the font size on WOnline, and LG said it was a link... (I forget)...any way she then posted the code.

Thanks again Pastor emoticon Have a wonderful day too! emoticon

Re: Who's Online

Hi Jewel,

The whosonline code you had was messy, so I cleaned it up a bit. Originally, you had this:

quote:

/* WHOS ONLINE TABLE */
.forumlistwhosonlinetable
{ color:#000000; width:740px;height:30px;font-weight: bold; font-size:12px; vendara; border:3px solid #bf2431
; background-color:#cccccc;}

A few notes here:

'verdana' is misspelled and there was another problem with having it there the way it was, but you don't need it there anyway, because verdana is the default font for that area (and therefore doesn't need to be defined again).

.forumlistwhosonlinetable (the one defined above) and .forumlistwhosonline (the one Pastor Rick gave you) have very similar class names that do affect the same area, but they each define separate things. Because of the way the default CSS is coded, the width and height of the box, as well as backgrounds and borders have to be defined under the class with 'table' in the name (forumlistwhosonlinetable), and the font itself has to be defined under the shorter class name.

What I just said was probably confusing a heck, but at any rate, I broke it up for you and changed the comments a bit, so you know what gets defined where, and changing the font-size in this code will now work.

quote:

/* WHOS ONLINE WIDTH, HEIGHT, BACKGROUND, AND BORDER */
.forumlistwhosonlinetable {
   width:740px; height:30px;
   border:3px solid #bf2431;
   background-color:#cccccc;
}
/* WHOS ONLINE FONTS */
.forumlistwhosonline {
   color:#000000;
   font-size:11px;
   font-weight: bold;
}

Edit: I just saw your edit with the link to the test board. The changes I made were at Pat and Jewel's, but I changed the font-size in case 12px turns out to be bigger than you want. If you prefer 12px, you can change it now. emoticon

Edit again to fix a mistake I made in my explanation. emoticon
