Color Variation problem AND sideboard set off Virus warning

YEP...I have two problems this morning.

1st problem... was notified by my Mod Rogue that last night his Malware went off. I had NOT changed a thing as of last night. But his quote:
quote:

I tried to visit the board but it appears that Malware was detected due to csalim.com

That bit of code was in Pastor Rick's CLOCK coding in my side board. Have removed the clock, will see if Mods malware goes off again.

2nd problem...changed my skins today. Had one made up in my test site. Copy/pasted every bit of code from css, html (header and footer), custom language, and main page. And noticed that my REAL site has a dark GREEN Reply button and my TEST site has a dark BLUE Reply...
So I put them side by side on same computer screen and went line by line in every bit of code on both...they are identical...SO HOW CAN ONE BE BLUE and ONE BE GREEN???? emoticon

SCREEN PRINTS:

Test site...This is what I WANT.

Real site...This is NOT what I want.

Hi Queeny,

I stopped by your boards to compare them earlier, then thought PR had fixed it because they were both blue. Then I thought about visited link colors, and checked it again just now. (I was running a bit slow earlier)

Green is the regular link color that's defined in your CSS, and blue is the visited link color that's defined in your layout/colors.

Here's what you have in your CSS, which defines the green:

/* NEW TOPIC & ADD REPLY BUTTONS */
.topiclistpostnewtopic a, .postlistaddareply a {color:#3B5E2B;font-size:18px;font-family:verdana;}

If you want the visited link color to be the same as the regular (non-visited) link color, change that to this:

/* NEW TOPIC & ADD REPLY BUTTONS */
.topiclistpostnewtopic a, .postlistaddareply a,
.topiclistpostnewtopic a:visited, .postlistaddareply a:visited
{color:#3B5E2B;font-size:18px;font-family:verdana;}

The .topiclistpostnewtopic stuff isn't really necessary since you have images for those, but feel free to keep it in there if you think you'll need to define it the next time you redecorate your board, since you'll probably always want them to be the same anyway. emoticon

OH GEEZ....thank you Lesa! emoticon
I used to never "see" that because I HAD an image for my REPLY, that matched my other images buttons. But one of my members work is blocking some of her sites and the only why she can post is by using the quick reply...so I decided to leave that as NO MATCHING BUTTON in my custom language.
I think I have to, right? Because I followed your directions for installing the quick reply, added to my css what was needed and added to the custom language what you said was needed instead of the "image" for my Reply button..
BUT AGAIN!!! *Big HUGS* Thank you... emoticon

You're welcome, Queeny. emoticon

I just added this CSS to your test board:

.postlistaddareply a {
    background: #505c90 url('http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v38/overthehillfan/QOskins/Rivendell/rivendell2.jpg') no-repeat center;
    display: inline-block;
    width: 110px;
    height: 40px;
    text-indent: -10000px;
}

Check out your "Add reply" link now. emoticon

You're welcome! emoticon

I gave it a background color along with the image, in case your image host goes down. The words won't be there if that happens, but hopefully anyone who is used to seeing it there will see the rectangle and know what it is.

Most of them are used to using it, so will probably be able to figure it out. Or they can just use the quick reply.
But justbec, her work suddenly started blocking images...including my buttons and because I did not have the quick reply already on, she could not post.
So I added your quick reply codes and it was great....now, even better cause I got the best of both worlds.
But then you are very good at giving people the very best....♥ emoticon

Aww, thanks. I try. emoticon

It's weird that Becky's work started blockimg images, but it's even weirder that she can't post without them when she should be seeing the alternate text in their place.
