Membership List

I know there was a list of our members at one time that I could go into and delete members who had left our group.

Now all I can find is the list on our main forum page that shows everybody that ever joined our group.

Is there a new way to remove members?

Such a simple question and I know I probably am just overlooking it.

Thanks,

Joan

Re: Membership List

Hi Joan,

From your board's control panel, go to:

Security management > Advanced security settings

On the left, click on See members.

Put a checkmark next to each name you want to delete, then scroll down and click on Remove selected members.

If any of these names still remain on your publicly visible memberlist, then they are still a member of one or more individual forums within your board, so you'll need to remove them from those individual forums.

Security management > Advanced security settings

Scroll down to Fine-tune the ______ forum.

The process from there is the same as the board-wide memberlist.

If any of these names still remain after all of that, it means you used to have a forum that had its own membership requirements, but have since changed its settings to use the board's defaults. This will result in that forum's memberlist being hidden unless you change its membership-gaining method to something more restrictive, after which you can remove the names from that forum. You could also use the "Clear members" checkbox, but I strongly caution you to make absolutely certain you are doing this for one of your forums and not for the entire board, because this action is irreversible, and you don't want to accidentally delete your board's entire memberlist.

I hope this helps! emoticon
