Topic Preview added May 18, 2010
Now, when you hover on the link to a topic from the topic list, it will show you a preview of the first post.
The following styling for this tooltip has been added to the default css for boards:
.ak_msg_topic_preview_div {
width: 400px;
padding: 0.25em;
border: 2px solid #ccc;
background: #eee;
font-size: 11px;
color: #000;
}
If you want to customize it, you only need to redefine the things you want changed. For this board, I only wanted to change the color of the border, while keeping the rest of the styling the same as the default css, so I added this to Runboard Support's CSS:
.ak_msg_topic_preview_div {
border-color: #a7b5c2;
}
Anyone who creates a board after the time of this post and uses one of the preset themes may already have extra styling in their CSS for this, so if you want to do any additional styling, look for that class name (.ak_msg_topic_preview_div) in your CSS before adding it. If that class name already exists there, just edit that section of the CSS. If the class name doesn't exist there, you can add it.

Re: Topic Preview added May 18, 2010
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh This is fantastic.
I am now going to go and get it on a few boards.
Great work Thor & Lesa.
Do you have to add anything anywhere other than CSS, as I have just added it to my board and nothing changed. I added your first part to start out to see what that was like before I changed anything.

Re: Topic Preview added May 18, 2010
It was already working on my board! Does that mean it was already added to the CSS?

Re: Topic Preview added May 18, 2010
You're welcome. Glad you like it.
It's already styled in the default CSS, so you only have to add CSS for it if you want to change something on it.

Hard refresh. Maybe the new CSS isn't taking effect on your browser.
You won't find that class name in existing boards, but you can add it.

Re: Topic Preview added May 18, 2010
Tested with Chrome, Flock, Opera, FF, and IE-(5.5, 6, 7, and 8).
With Flock I had to refresh the screen before the tooltips worked but that was the only browser that didn't show me the tooltips right off.
Great job
