And I implemented that and it worked perfectly!
And I learned yet another bit of css! emoticon (I copy and keep EVERYTHING you show me in a file called Lesa's helps! emoticon

Also warned everyone on my site that I'd be changing the skin over tomorrow, some really get 'worried' when things change and they are in the middle of a post!

It seems there are a few people around these parts who save stuff in a txt file when I help them. emoticon

You should have read some of the reactions I used to get from Whoosh members when I decorated for Halloween. emoticon One year I had an animated ghost disappearing and reappearing as it flew around the screen, and somebody thought she had caught a virus. emoticon

Well, I don't blame them for keeping your helps...

emoticon emoticon OMG! That would have been so hilarious! But I could see how some would think that... emoticon

I have the new skin on my REAL site today. So far everything seems to be working fine.
I had a pm from a person I do not know, saying they had tried to post at my site, but it screwed up they're key board...
I asked a few questions in a PM reply. So we shall see...
But the rest of the gang is happy!

"Screwed up their keyboard"? Somehow I don't think they explained that very well. emoticon

Based on my best guess as to what that's supposed to mean, I just looked at the posting screen at your board and see that you have a lot of animated smilies. If the person's computer doesn't have enough resources to handle that much animation at once, it wouldn't screw up a person's keyboard, but it could slow down the rate at which the characters show up as they type. More than likely, that problem should only occur where there are a lot of animations if that's the case, and shouldn't continue to occur where there are fewer or no animations.

There is actually one board that used to freeze up my old computer whenever I tried to make a post there, to the point where I'd have to reboot it every time. To solve that problem, I had to disable images completely through my browser settings just to make a post, but unfortunately I couldn't see the smilies or any other graphics that way.

Yeah...he said "Screwed up his Keyboard".... emoticon
But I can see how my smilies might cause the "typing" cursor to slow. I have some places now that the words show up several seconds AFTER I type them.. emoticon
If he writes back, I'll have him try your disable images completely through my browser settings thing, just in case. But so far he's not written back.

Oh he already responded, and I can speak to him on at least one other Runboard site.
Seems his biggest complaint, most sites take too long to load.
He just has not got the time to wait a few seconds to let them load.
So.....if a person is in that big of a hurry, I'm thinking "they're" problem. emoticon

He's probably on dialup. I remember those days and it seemed to take forever for everything to load. Add to that all the people who kept telling me I should get something faster when I couldn't afford it at the time, and that got to be a bit irritating.
