I didn't notice the error until I put Skokeys sepbar in place and now I can see the menu doesn't line up with the separator bar correctly (it looks to be off by 2-4 pixels... You don't need to put the background into the #holder since it's already in the sepbar class. Also, it's the 5px padding at the top of sepbar that pushes #holder down. You might also want to check your cursor code for #holder:hover, as it seems the original code contained a tongue smiley. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Lesigner Girl)Mon, 31 Dec 2007 06:40:16 +0000 Re: Changing a graphic?https://bakheva.runboard.com/p234976,from=rss#post234976https://bakheva.runboard.com/p234976,from=rss#post234976quote:SKOKEY wrote: How about this for the banner? The highlights would repeat and look totally fake.nondisclosed_email@example.com (SKOKEY)Sun, 30 Dec 2007 22:44:54 +0000 Re: Changing a graphic?https://bakheva.runboard.com/p234964,from=rss#post234964https://bakheva.runboard.com/p234964,from=rss#post234964Thank you again Skokey, My initial idea was to tweak things so the yellow bars and such would appear more like a antique gold embossed on the charcoal black background but I just cannot seem to do metal type coloring for some reason... it always comes out looking like a dirty yellow instead of the metal look and feel I am striving for. This works though and gives a consistent look to the decorative elements nondisclosed_email@example.com (Pastor Rick)Sun, 30 Dec 2007 22:37:37 +0000 Re: Changing a graphic?https://bakheva.runboard.com/p234963,from=rss#post234963https://bakheva.runboard.com/p234963,from=rss#post234963 Now that I see what you are using it for, I made them more yellow to better match the yellow bars on your page. The darker edge must always remain on the outside, so you need 8 pieces.nondisclosed_email@example.com (SKOKEY)Sun, 30 Dec 2007 21:00:21 +0000 Re: Changing a graphic?https://bakheva.runboard.com/p234962,from=rss#post234962https://bakheva.runboard.com/p234962,from=rss#post234962Thank you Skokey, I did a rotate image and save option to get the layer styles graphic for all four sides. I found it kinda strange that the rotated images are a larger file size when I didn't change anything else though. This just leaves me with having to get this image redone so it matches up. (you can click HERE to see what I did if you need to). nondisclosed_email@example.com (Pastor Rick)Sun, 30 Dec 2007 20:17:07 +0000 Re: Changing a graphic?https://bakheva.runboard.com/p234961,from=rss#post234961https://bakheva.runboard.com/p234961,from=rss#post234961Heres one done with layer styles. This tells the surface to be rounded, where the light is coming from, and whether it is a solid color or has a texture.nondisclosed_email@example.com (SKOKEY)Sun, 30 Dec 2007 16:28:43 +0000 Re: Changing a graphic?https://bakheva.runboard.com/p234960,from=rss#post234960https://bakheva.runboard.com/p234960,from=rss#post234960With this one, , I just used yours and in Photoshop color adjustments, tweeked the Neutral and White parameters. With more complicated shapes, layers styles might be the way to go.nondisclosed_email@example.com (SKOKEY)Sun, 30 Dec 2007 15:52:28 +0000 Changing a graphic?https://bakheva.runboard.com/p234959,from=rss#post234959https://bakheva.runboard.com/p234959,from=rss#post234959OK, I am kinda decent when creating regular shaded graphics but lets say I wanted to change a graphic like so that the finished result would look like polished gold instead of the shaded aluminum look it has now (when viewed on a black background)...
