2nd alternate TEXT color

I have a new one! I would like to have a 2nd alternate TEXT color entry to go with the already existing 2nd alternate background color.

Ideally this could go in the Control Panel :: Board management :: Edit colors and theme area but I would be almost as happy if it was assigned a CSS classname.

Thank you emoticon,

It would make the design of a message board with highly contrasting color choices so much easier and save what little hair I have left for other things hahaha...

CSS would be nicer, yes.

There was a time when Thor wanted to put everything into the CSS. Maybe we need a form for this, though, so people can handle it.

Re: 2nd alternate TEXT color

Thor could convert the existing form information into CSS if he had the time and it were high enough on his priority list.

For example, we currently define background-color, border, border-color, and width for the forum_list_table in our form, and it ends up like this in the source code:

<table class="forum_list_table" bgcolor="#aaaa99" border="1" bordercolor="#aaaa99" cellspacing="1" width="98%">

Using the same form, that could be included in the CSS instead.

background-color:#aaaa99;
border: 1px solid #aaaa99;
width: 98%;

...and the HTML would be...

<table class="forum_list_table" cellspacing="1">

Ideally the cellspacing would go into the CSS as well, but some browsers still can't handle it yet.

Likewise, instead of alternate post backgrounds being hard-coded, they should have alternating class names, and the colors defined in the form could be injected into the CSS instead of into the HTML.

Yes, and that would be very good.

I was envisioning a form for less CSS-savvy people to use, which would then send their hex-codes to the CSS, for example.

I think you're saying it's possible, right?

I was thinking form method for users that are afraid of the html and css but I love the possibilities this would bring to the design table emoticon.
