Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

A pretty good movie, I thought it was much better than the previous one. This movie is much more dark than the others, and has quite a lot of wizard / sorcerers / warlock fights, which was nice to finally see (consdering it didn't really happen till now)

Re: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

I've been interested in the Harry potter book series.. but never really cared for the movies.. They always seem to leave out stuff that ends up being highly important in the later books.

I'll still go see the movie, but I will probably leave the theater/eject the DVD and curse up a storm about the differences in the books and movies lol.

The differences weren't too bad, they kept it pretty true to the book, but, like Josh predicted, they did manage to cut out important stuff i.e. the mirror Sirius gave Harry, Snape calling Lily a mudblood...(although they can easily fix the latter in DH.)

The only real problem I had with the movie was that I thought Snape's memory was too short. I really liked that scene in the book and I don't think they did it justice.

I still haven't watched the movie, but 2 people on my Board are going off on it lol. Seems like they think the director was trying to make the movie more his own rather than an adaption of the book, adding stuff that never happened in the book and not adding stuff either at all or not the way the events took place. Also One of the posters said She read the director planned on making the 6th movie be 'funny' or the funniest out of the series or something like that.. That's crazy because A lot of really dramatic events happen in book 6, that you wouldn't think you could/should make funny.

Yes, well, 'tis not as easy as it sounds to make a movie exactly like the book. I think he did a pretty good job...

O_o

Ok, that's [sign in to see URL] books are getting darker with each one, not funnier! Of course, there is still a lot of humor in them, but there should be a lot of seriousness as well.
