Uploading an Image to Insert in Custom Language Set

Hello everyone!

As the title may suggest, I'm try to figure out how to upload an image link to my CLS to make the image appear RATHER THAN the link. If it helps in understanding, this is the image I mean:

--Log in or sign up to see linked image content--

We have had this image up to post a reply in recent years, but I managed to mess it up the other day by editing the post_list_add_a_reply bit. Won't be doing that again emoticon

I hope this post made any sense at all, lol!

Thank you emoticon

Try adding this to the box:

<img src="[sign in to see URL]" alt="Post Reply" width="170" height="25" />

You need a test board to make changes on first. That way one of the boards will have the original codes to copy/paste for backup purposes.

Re: Uploading an Image to Insert in Custom Language Set

Thank you very much, Jox! emoticon

Okay, I got it to show-up on my testboard (only reason I didn't use that to begin with was because a board I administrate just added "quick reply" and there was a small error with how it was implemented so I tried to "fix" it, accidentally removing the regular response page emoticon), with your link, so that's great!

Now I just am trying to make the regular reponse page AND QR as options at the bottom of the page, but that takes more than 200 characters emoticon

Dan somehow did that successfully the other day (just posted it where it wasn't properly centered), so I know it's possible somehow lol.

Do you know if I could add the QR code to my CSS and then have the old "post reply" button in my custom language set? Pretty much as it is here and The Runboard Directory, just with the "post reply" image we use instead of the text link.

Lesa, if you're reading and know what to do, you're more than welcome to "break-into" Keshi Heads' control-panel as that may be the quicker choice than me trying a hundred wrong codes emoticon

Thanks again Joxcenia, that link worked perfectly! emoticon

Re:

Brian, here is what I have in my Custom Language Set on the line that says post_list_add_a_reply.

Add a reply</a><br />
<iframe allowtransparency="true" id="qr" frameborder="0" src="//[sign in to see URL]

I'll go search to see if I have anything any place else.

I also have this in the CSS:

/* LESA'S QUICK REPLY */
#qr {
     width: 600px;
     margin: 0 auto -20px auto;
     border: 0;
     height: 320px;
     display: block;
     background: transparent;
}

I don't know how you would get everything under 200 characters unless an url shortener would work for your picture.

You can shorten the url by giving the image a shorter title and reuploading it. Or you could shrink the image to the proper size, then there wouldn't be a need for the resizing codes.

That's the best I can do to help. I haven't studied CSS & HTML. And ... once you get it set back up, copy/paste it to a board designing thread on a private staff only board.

Thank you both!

(Through lots of link-shortening,) I finally managed to get the needed characters down to 199! emoticon

Looks good now, I think emoticon
